Today Was Too Good For Words.

But since I'm writing in a blog.. I'll have to put it into words, now won't I? ;P

Today was just such a good day. I went to go hang out with Lin, one of my favourite people EVER, to go pick up the jacket she had ordered in for her. It was a lot of fun just being able to hang out with her since I rarely see her. She's someone I've known for a long time, though oddly enough, I didn't REALLY know her until she started to work at Future Shop North with me. She was the manager of one of the comic stores I always went to when I was younger.. I just never got to actually know her. I only saw her, lol. And then I heard of Lin coming to the North store and when I was her, I was like, "YOU'RE LIN?!" It was awesome! But she was only at our store to train as the Entertainment Coordinator.. and it was only a few months before she was moved to the West location to be their actual Entertainment Coordinator. Sadly, she hated West. They treat her like shit to the point where I've offered to kill people at the store for her, lmao. They're terrible to her! So..

The good news? Well, Flo was promoted to Merch Supervisor.. and we don't have a Coordinator. Well, we didn't.. UNTIL LIN GOT HER TRANSFER GREEN LIT. She's coming back!! EEEEP!! We're all so happy to have her coming back.. like, screaming and jumping ecstatic.

And my other good news? I finally got myself an SLR camera. :D I bought the Olympus E-VOLT 510. I believe it's last years model, but that doesn't matter much to me. Apparently it's a damn good camera.. and heck, I don't need anything too fancy. It's my first SLR, afterall. But the fact that I got this camera is only a quarter of why this is so awesome. The camera was Open Box, which at my work means that it had been previously purchased, but returned within the 30 days for whatever reason. Still pretty much brand new and totally funcional. Customers don't seem to trust Open Box, so despite a slightly lowered price.. nobody would bite. So the camera sat there and sat there and sat there. Because it was Open Box and officially put as Clearance.. I haggled with the Manager and I got this puppy for 149.99. A flippin brand new SLR for 149.99!! WAAAH!! Looking online, I see this thing priced between 600.00-800.00! I nearly died. I bought a 150mm lens with it for about 60.00, with the original price at about 200.00.
