L4D Is Not Serious Business.

I'll be frank. L4D has lost it's charm for the most part. I still really enjoy playing with some people ( and you know who you are, so don't think I'm ranting about you! ).. but some people are starting to either:

a) Take it too seriously
b) No longer play for sport, but only play to win
c) Believe they are like the God of L4D beause they play all day and all night at every waking moment, and act as if they're better than me
d) Use the typical tactics at every point possible, making the game very boring

Now, I like to draw lines. Certain behaviors are expected, right? I just wish people didn't become so crazy over this game.

-You have to take it at least slightly serious. Yeah, it's never fun when people are just dicking around completely and you die within 20 seconds of leaving the safe room. :P

-And sure, you should have winning as a goal, but you shouldn't go into rage mode just because you lost a round, or even the game. WHO. CARES. Life will go onnnnn, I am sure.

-I hate being told what to do. I just can't stand it. I do realize sometimes people get into the game and want you to do something, and okay, I can accept that just fine.. but I hate when someone is spouting orders the entire game. Umm, this is 4 player CO-OP. This means team work. Not a single person playing boss. It's stupid when one person is telling every single person on their team what to do, and spazzing when someone doesn't want to listen to their barking orders. If you're barking orders, I'm just gonna not do what you want to make you mad. ;D

-I'm super tired of a lot of the tactics used in L4D. Sure, a lot of the time it means epic win if it works. And some of the tactics I do like. Smoker + Manhole = WOO. :P BUT. At the same time.. it makes the game so goddamn boring if at almost every corner, it's already laid out what you need to do as an infected or even as a survivor. Go here. Do this. Make sure you do this at this exact moment. It makes the game predictable and so boring. I can see when people wanna use a tactic themselves, but when it comes to a point and everyone is like, "OMFG DO THIS DO THIS WHY ARE YOU NOT DOING THIIIISSSS?! EEEEEEEEEEE!!". UGHH. D:


People Acting Different ( With Other People ).

My two biggest peeves lately are people who act way different just because their boyfriend or girlfriend is around, or some of my friends who get cocky as shit as soon as their online playing games. It's like pulling teeth dealing with them sometimes. If you're on opposite teams and you joke about getting them at one point, they get all defensive like, "OMG IT ONLY HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THIS. AND I GOT YOU SO BAD LAST TIME OKAY SHUT UP." Okay, sorry I hurt your internet pride! D: Stop yelling at meee! Then again, it's sometimes worse when you're on the same team and they're ego tripping, or playing Captain America.

I dunno.

But anyways.
