I Guess I Can Do Hair / Manly Woman Bonding

So yesterday I spent the night over at Kat's house, and it was really a total blast. She wanted me to dye her hair, and I was more than happy to comply. I love doing hair! It's strange because I have almost no actual experience with hair, yet I'm apparently very good at doing it. My friend Kat has long, platinum blonde hair and she wanted me to put blue inin. She wsn't sure how.. so I had to have artistic license with it.. and that scared me, haha. And to do the idea we cooked up, I also had to cut her hair.. which scared me even more. I don't cut hair too often, mostly just dye, so I was like, "PLEASE WORK OUT!" What we decided on was a blue under layer in her hair with a blue chunk in her bangs. After color, I had to cut her bangs so she had the side swept bangs and then cut her blonde layers of hair to show off more of the blue..

And this is my creation!




Kat really likes how it turned out.. and phew, I am so glad. Ever since she posted a photo, and I did on Facebook, I've had people like, "OMG CAN YOU DO MY HAIRZ?!?! I WILL PAY!!" I was worried about how it would turn out, especially because the color contrast in my head was like "WHOA!" and also because there was no room for fuck ups. Fucking up with blue dye in blonde hair would end horribly LOL. Rinsing out the blue dye was also interesting. Kat had to pretty much break her back over the tub so I could rinse it without it bleeding into her blonde and I had to strain to rinse it out smoothly. Good times were had by all. Cept' our poor backs.

The best part of the night was being able to stay up with her and just talk. Kat and I have had a really rocky road and it's surprising how well we get along now. We decided to go to bed at about 7 AM. And then we were up until around 11AM talking. It was a nice bonding experience. :P I think we learned a lot about eachother. I'm certain we even surprised eachother with how very alike we are, in personality and experience.
