Victory.. IS MINE.

I am so so so.. so.. sooooo happy to say that my portfolio for Grant MacEwan college is done! After two straight days of confining myself to my room, I managed to finish my final piece, complete my write ups and fill my forms! Man, I can't even begin to say how much weight has been taken off my shoulders now that I'm done worrying about all that. I'm still feeling very down in the dumps, but I'm hoping I can crawl out of this ditch without the portfolio trying to eat me. All that's really left to do is drop it off on the 4th, send in my high school transcripts and then pick my portfolio up on the 18th to see if I got accepted or not. Here's hoping. Yikes.

The piece I was last working on was one that I had to do specifically for the MacEwan portfolio. They provided a quote, and from that quote I had to produce some sort of piece. The quote was, "Unless we change our direction, we are likely to end up where we were headed." and this would be the piece..

It's not perfect, and I will admit it's slightly rushed, but I like it well enough. I won't explain what it means to me, I'd rather you come to your own conclusions. And for my fellow L4D players, note the background of the city.. it may or may not be based off of a screenshot in Death Toll. -coughcoughcough-

And on the topic of my portfolio, this would be the center piece of it..

This is an 18" x 24" acryllic painting on canvas. It was my first attempt at painting and I'd like to think that it turned out pretty well. It certainly wasn't easy.. lmao. I spent about half my senior year on this bitch.

Well.. that's about all I have to say for now. I think it's time I go to bed and relish the feeling that I can wake up tomorrow and not think about the portfolio. -victory dance to bed-
