Zombies Are Best.

So I spent a lot of today reading. Pretty much every chance I got, I picked up my book. Currently I'm reading "World War Z, An Oral History Of The Zombie War" and man, it's awesome! It's a book basically told in interviews where the author, Max Brooks, travels around the world to hear the stories of people who survived the near zombie apocalypse. I will admit, some interviews are much more interesting than others, but all in all, it's a solid book. I have yet to finish it, though!

And yes, if you haven't noticed, I do have a bit of an obsession with zombies. I'm fairly certain in all started when my Dad bought Resident Evil 1 for the PC back in like.. 1996/97'. I didn't play myself, of course, I was too young. I had this facination with watching my Dad play, though. I would sit on the bed and just watch him play for hours. He would never play unless I was there to watch. Kind of a weird bonding thing we had going on, lmao. But I suppose the rest is history. From then on in, I kept up with the Resident Evil franchise, still being too young to get the nerve to play myself up until Resident Evil: Code Veronica came about. Since then, I've kept up with pretty much every zombie genre game out there. My current love is Left4Dead.

Outside of gaming, I also enjoy zombie movies. From classic Romero to the less standard "Evil Dead" series. Maybe I'm just morbid, lol. And of course I like to read zombie books. Though those are kinda hard to find.. everyone is on about vampires. Boo hiss.

Why do I like zombies so much? I dunno, I guess it's the facination of the unknown. I've always been intrigued and a little thrilled at the idea of some crazy zombie outbreak. And yes, I do realize I'd probably be much less thrilled if it actually happened, rofl. Zombies are just.. facinating? I love to see how different people percieve what zombie should be. Quick moving or slow and shambling? Out for brains and flesh, or simply violent? I have the imagination of a child, so maybe that's why I'm so giddy for zombies. I find there's much more to them than the kinda black and white borders there are for other legendary creatures.. like vampires and werewolves.

All in all, I'm koo-koo for the undead. Which then makes me sad that I can't have Killing Floor with everyone gushing about it.. right at this moment. -Stabs IM conversations.-
