Why I Never Watch The News.

I already have about zero faith in humanity as is.. but man, watching the news somehow puts my perspective into the negatives. I decided to come out of my room and spend some time with Dad dowwstairs and he was watching the afternoon news. I watched the news for about 30 minutes and here are some of the "top stories" that were covered:

1) More than 150 students have been killed in the passed 2 years in the Chicago area. One noteably being a 15 year old who was beaten, shot in the head and then set on fire. And what's being done about it? Oh. Nothing at all. No further steps are being taken to trying to hinder this violence.

2) An 11 year old boy hangs himself because he's being relentlessly bullied by his peers. What the hell is wrong with kids these days?

3) A family is taking legal action against highway patrol because the sick fuckers took pictures of their dead daughters accident and sent it to others, which then got put on the internet. And people were sending the photos to the family via email. The girl was apparently so messed up the coroner wouldn't even let the family identify her body. This story disturbs me to no end. What would possess someone to do that to the poor family? Ugh.

4) Laws have been put in place that won't allow minors to send provacative photos of themselves to others. Okay, now that does make sense in a way, but how the law came to be seems a little iffy. A phone was confiscated from a boy in school when the photos were discovered. Hmm, what was someone doing looking through his phone, anyways? Interesting how laws are being violated in order to create new laws.

Yeah, all that sunshine and happiness in a 30 minute span. I knew this world was getting darker and darker, though I kind of enjoyed not thinking about it which is why I almost never watch the news. I see with my own eyes on a daily bassis that this world is pretty much doomed because there is something seriously wrong with people these days. It nearly upset me to tears listening to all this crap. I just don't get how people can be the way they are. Nobody gives a fuck about anyone or anything anymore.

How tragic.
